Breaking up is hard to do

SOUR: It goes without saying that break-ups -- no matter how serious or lengthy the relationship was -- suck. There are the feelings -- hurt, unresolved, angry, frustrated, sad, confused, etc. There is the weirdness -- the mutual friends, the shared haunts, the fact that myspace makes it completely impossible to erase that person from your life completely.

And then there are the plans that you made together for the future that are now fucked up. I am SO not talking about your future life together or any of that bullshit. I'm talking about the seemingly little things. The things that when you planned them caused you both to get excited and have something to look forward to. I'm talking about the $235 Coldplay tickets I put on my fucking credit card two months ago and the two days I already asked off work so we could drive to Atlanta to see the show.

Now, this is like a triple whammy, cause not only do I continue to be reminded of the failed relationship, but I am also going to miss out on seeing one of my favorite bands AND possibly going to lose $235 should I not be able to sell the tickets online.

There is no perfect solution. And no matter how far I shove those tickets in the back of the cabinet, I know they are still there.

Myspace does make it a little bit more difficult to get the space you need. True. That.
